Who Can Apply? Educational Qualifications

To be eligible, you must meet any one of the following:

  • Pass in H.Sc (10+2) or equivalent
    OR

  • Pass in 10th standard + 3-year Diploma from a government-recognized institute
    OR

  • Minimum 6-month Diploma in Computer Application or higher qualification in computer science post-H.Sc

📝 Note: Qualifications obtained after 21.06.2025 will not be accepted.

 

Age Limit and Relaxations (As of 21.06.2025)

  • General category: Max 30 years

  • MBC/OBC/EBC/BCM: +3 years

  • SC: +5 years

  • Widows/Divorced/Judicially separated women (Unmarried): Up to 35 years (SC: up to 40)

  • Ex-Servicemen: Period of military service + 3 years

  • In-service Govt. employees: Up to 40 years (45 years for SC) with 3+ years in a related post

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The selection is based on a Written Competitive Examination, consisting of two papers:

Paper I (100 Questions, 100 Marks, 2 Hours)

  • General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude

  • Current Affairs and Indian Polity

  • General Studies and General Science

  • English Language and Grammar/Comprehension

  • Computer Knowledge

Paper II (100 Questions, 100 Marks, 2 Hours)

  • Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics

  • Economics, Geography, Social Science

  • Indian & World History, Indian Constitution, Freedom Struggle

⚠️ Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer

Required Certificates for Application

  • Nativity/Residence Certificate (from Puducherry UT residents with 5+ years of residency)

  • Community Certificate (for SC, OBC, MBC, etc.)

  • EWS Certificate (issued for FY 2024–2025; valid for 2025–2026)

  • Ex-Servicemen Proof (if applicable)

  • Widow/Divorce Certificate (if applicable)

All documents must be issued by authorities not below the rank of Deputy Tahsildar.
